"Bring something to cover your arms. It's going to be cold."
"Fall just started. We've got a few weeks before it gets cold," Kiara calls out from the bathroom.

I walk into the bathroom and find her putting on mascara. She catches my gaze in the mirror.
I chuckle, "Suite yourself, but if you start freezing your ass off, don't ask me for mine."
The thought of her wearing my hoodie has my cock pitching a huge tent in my sweatpants.
"Fine, but I thought you were a gentleman," she says jokingly, sticking her tongue out.
If anything, I want to be the opposite of a gentleman. I want to fuck her so hard...so dirty, she screams my name until she loses her voice.
I fight a smile, "Not when you're being hard-headed, Cupcake."

She walks past me to put her makeup back in her bag. "Enjoyed the show?" she teases.
I thought she noticed my boner, but it's hidden underneath my hoodie. She must be talking about me watching her put on makeup.
"You know, you don't need make up. You're fucking gorgeous the way you are, but that mascara brings out your eyes," I confess softly.
She grins. "Ooh, a guy that knows what mascara is. Must be a keeper."

I take a step towards her, caging her between my arms against the wall. I lean down, and I hear her breath catch. I can't help but smirk. "Then keep me," I say low and seductively.
She gazes at me with a burning desire. Without a word, she pulls me close, her arms wrapping around my neck. Our lips collide, craving the unique connection only we share. The world fades away, and it's just me and her...until my phone rudely interrupts our passionate moment.
"Damn it," I mutter, breaking our kiss. I reach into my pocket and grab my phone. It's a message from my mom:
Will be a little late. Save me a seat.
We're both still panting as she steps away, her finger gently grazing her swollen lips. Her face still carries a flushed look from our heated make out session. "We should head out anyway. We don't wanna be late," she suggests, trying to regain her composure.
I nod in agreement, grabbing my keys and heading for the door.
She has kissed me a few times since Monday, but she won't let it get any further than that. I'm starting to have the worst case of blue balls I've ever had, but I'm respecting her boundaries.
I feel her pulling away from me little by little. I know her apartment will be ready soon, so when I'm not working, I try to soak up every second with her. Even if that means just laying beside her while she writes.
I still sleep on the couch, but I stay with her until she passes out. I don't know what love feels like, but when I'm with her, I feel so content. I wish I could just ask her to stay here permanently, but I already know with the whole Candy thing, that won't happen.
Tonight, we're going to Jeremiah's game! Alex said he could handle the restaurant alone so I could be there for my brother. I'm happy Kiara is coming with me, even if she's worried about people assuming shit about us.
We're just friends that have fucked twice and live together going to see a game.
No big deal.

We arrive at the school parking lot and notice only a few cars. Looks like either everyone carpooled or not many people came to support the time. At least we're here, though.
We head towards the football field where the game's about to start. Kiara tries to walk behind me, but I keep stopping and waiting for her to catch up.
"Just walk ahead of me," she says with a groan.
I hum thoughtfully, pretending to ponder the idea. "Nah, I think I'd rather walk alongside my friend."
She glances around, making sure no one's nearby. "Fine, just don't walk too closely or touch me," she mutters.
"Do you assume every man and woman walking together are fucking?"
"No, but somebody else might."
I can practically hear the wheels turning in her mind. If I don't step in, she might have a panic attack or something.
I grasp her hand and swiftly lead us behind a nearby car. "Take a deep breath for me, Cupcake. There's nothing to feel guilty about," I reassure her with a gentle tone.
She chews on her lip. "There is. We're like shacking up and-"
I chuckle softly. "Shacking up? Are we stuck in the 1950s or something?"
She's too anxious to laugh along with me, her face set in a deep frown.
Oh damn, she's serious!
"Even if they did find out you were staying with me, we're not together, right?"
She nods, avoiding eye contact. Part of me hoped she'd say we are, but that's just wishful thinking.
I put on a fake smile. "Then, quit feeling so guilty."
I plant a gentle kiss on her cheek and we resume our walk towards the field. This time, she walks beside me. She doesn't object as I pay for the tickets and she follows me to the bleachers.
The bleaches aren't crowded, but there are enough people in the stands for the team to not feel like they're complete trash this year. I notice William sitting at the top of the bleachers by himself, his eyes set on the field. We sit a little farther down.
"You think she went to rehab?" Kiara whispers.
I kind of expected she'd ask that. Her and Lucinda seemed to bond that day, even though Lucinda clearly pushed her away.
I get it, she wants to believe Lucinda got help. But unless she really wanted it, she probably went back to the trailer after leaving the hospital. She already turned down our help, so I'm sure she did the same with the doctor.
"Or he just didn't want anyone to see what he did to her," I reply honestly. She frowns, but stays silent.
It's time for kickoff! The teams rush onto the field, with the cheerleaders attempting to pump up the crowd. The kicker sends the ball soaring into the opponent's territory, and the players scatter in every direction.
By the second quarter, J's team is down by two touchdowns and a field goal. I spot him, number 5, doing his thing, but the quarterback overthrows the ball for the like tenth time tonight.
I'm engrossed in the game when suddenly I notice Kiara shivering out of the corner of my eye. "I told you to bring a jacket," I murmur.
"I-I know," she stutters, her teeth clattering.
I sigh, pulling my hoodie over my head and working it over hers.
Her eyes widen. "Y-You're not cold?" she whispers.
It's definitely chilly out here, but seeing my girl wearing my hoodie has warmth spreading through me.
Fuck, she's so beautiful!
I grin. "Nah, not anymore."
She snuggles up against me, resting her head on my shoulder as we continue watching the game. This first outing together is better than I imagined it would be. I'm on cloud nine!
